Following the trend of remake films, `Thousand Pounds of Beauty`, one of the most successful commercial films in Korean cinema, will have a Vietnamese version with the coordination of TNA Entertainment, ShowBT Vietnam and Red Ruby Entertainments.
Thousand Pounds of Beauty is a humorous and romantic story about two girls: Jolie, sexy and seductive but a very bad singer, and Ha My, plump and oversized but with a rich voice.
With the original title 200 Pounds Beauty, as soon as it was released in theaters in 2006, the film immediately created a stir at the box office, because this was the first film made about the sensitive topic of cosmetic surgery in the United States.
The trio of main actors were trusted and chosen by the producer
The most interesting thing is that the character Ha My will still be played by Minh Hang.
Minh Hang said that the role of Ha My is both memorable and scary for her.
Actor – producer Truong Ngoc Anh affirmed that even though it is a remake, this will definitely be a film with Vietnamese characteristics.

James Ngo said that this was the first film he directed, so he spent up to 300% of his time and energy to complete the film.
After working as D.O.P for many projects, James Ngo was confident in his role as director and devoted a lot of enthusiasm to this project.
Phuong Trinh Jolie said that it was her first time playing a villain, but that was who she was, personality, fierce and fair.
The film’s music was performed by musician Huy Tuan
Thousand Pounds of Beauty has Truong Ngoc Anh as production director, Mr. Geong Seong Han (Robin) – General Director of ShowBT Korea as art consultant.
The film is expected to be released by CJ CGV in Summer 2017 in Vietnam.
