When and why did you move to Berlin?
Berlin has always been a “special” city for me.
His work is associated with a very rich fantasy world.
I am fascinated by Folk-Art and ancient primitive art.
Olaf currently lives in a beautiful old apartment in downtown Berlin.
Was there ever a period when you were completely stuck for new ideas?
Also yes.
How passionate are you about travel?
I have multiple international offices, so I’m often in New York, sometimes up to four months a year.
Olaf lives in Berlin but the inspiration for his work comes from many different parts of the world, be it New York or Kapstadt.
The mystery and symbolism of Folk Art plays a huge role in Olaf’s contemporary creations.
