In 2018, ELLE Fashion Show moved from previous large-scale stages to a long, narrow space with a high, cave-like dome – a challenging problem, creating a premise for a change in design thinking.

After 3 years of postponement due to the pandemic, ELLE Fashion Show 2022 returns with the largest scale ever: the first outdoor stage in a space of 117.4 hectares, a 130m long catwalk with 1,000 lights.
THE UNIVERSE IN AN EGG
When wondering what makes the ELLE Fashion Show different, we accidentally realized that, in a fateful way, this stage has become a launching pad for many young designers in Vietnam.
From the inspiration of the cradle that nurtures and gives wings to pioneering generations, director Cao Trung Hieu proposed the idea of a `origin egg` as the focus of the ELLE Fashion Show 2022 stage. Giant egg
Production director Vo Do Minh Hoang said that inside the egg is a specialized steel reinforcement system so that models and designers can move in and out while still ensuring safety.

ELLE Fashion Show 2022: Dreaming of new horizons
Since ancient times, the egg has represented the origin of life.
Inside the monotonous shape of the egg is a complex and perfect life form of creation.
Along the 130m long stage is a canal belonging to the largest water music system in Southeast Asia of The Global City.
The water surface sparkled with the setting sun, the sky gradually merged into the night and the city’s iconic buildings began to light up, the stage emerged like a fantasy hillside.

As a `sound architect`, Thanh Chu’s music is heavily experimental, close to ambient music and intelligent dance music (IDM).
When asked about the musical color that Thanh Chu created specifically for the 4 collections, he described it as `continuously changing` in KHAAR’s Hair, `a vast space` in SUBTLE LE NGUYEN’s Spring – Summer 2023 collection.
